  2. Yaroslav Brovin brilliantly resolved the issue by suggesting the addition of

    Quote

    ;$(PATH); value

to the Path in the Environment Options box in Delphi.

This simple yet effective tweak was exactly what was needed.

I'm so appreciative of this help – it's insights like these that make the programming community so invaluable.

    Thank you, Yaroslav! 🌹

    Hello @aziz,

There are several possible reasons of this error:

    1. You selected wrong designer version in FGX Native installer of Delphi 11. Delphi 11.0, 11.1, 11.2 are not compatible between versions. So we provide different designers versions for each Delphi 11.X versions. So be sure, that you select related designer version.
    2. FGX Native uses externals dll for correct work, so it uses system $PATH variable. Some 3-d party libraries can override $PATH variable on IDE side and don't inherit all parent values. In this case IDE cannot load required for FGX Native libraries. You can have a look at the IDE Settings: Tools -> Options -> Environment. Look at the overridden variables.

    Thank you

Thank you for your detailed explanation.

Regarding your first point, I want to assure you that I have selected the appropriate designer version, which is Delphi 11.3, the version I am currently using.

The only action I took was during the installation process, where I was given the option to choose the destination for the files. Although the default selection was the C drive, I changed it to the E drive. I hope this information helps in resolving the issue.

  4. Hello everyone,

I'm reaching out for help with FGX Native. I tried installing it on Delphi 11.3 but faced an error, as shown in the attached image. I'm looking forward to using this tool and would be grateful for any guidance or suggestions to fix this issue. Your expertise and advice are much appreciated. Thank you in advance for your support and time in assisting me with this matter!

  5. Dear FGX Native Team,

I hope this message finds you well. As the festive season approaches, I fondly recall last year's Christmas offer, where customers were given a delightful 25% discount on FGX Native purchases. That gesture was greatly appreciated by many, including myself.

I am writing to express my hope that a similar offer might be considered for this year as well. Such a discount would not only be a wonderful gift to your loyal customers but also an excellent opportunity for new users to experience the advantages of FGX Native.

Thank you for considering this request. Wishing you a joyous holiday season!🌹

  6. Hello everyone!

I am the proud owner of a budding software development company. Currently, I'm on the lookout for high-quality, white label mobile software solutions that are both professional and in high demand. Ideally, these software products should be crafted using Delphi programming language, and I have a specific preference for those developed with FGX Native for their robust performance.

A critical requirement for these software solutions is that they must be open source. I intend to resell these programs to clients in the local market. Additionally, having the flexibility to modify and enhance certain features of the software to better suit client needs is essential.

I'm very interested in understanding the technical intricacies of each software offering. Therefore, I would greatly appreciate detailed descriptions, including visual representations (screenshots or system diagrams), comprehensive technical specifications, and any other relevant information. The design of the user interface is also a key consideration - it must be visually appealing and user-friendly.

Transparent pricing information is crucial for my decision-making process. I am eager to explore various options and am open to suggestions that align with these criteria. Your contributions and recommendations will be highly valued, and I'm looking forward to engaging in fruitful discussions. Thank you in advance for your time and assistance!

I agree some more English documentation would be nice . Not sure about the market place.. There's a sub forum for "Development Orders"

Coming from Windows dev to my first mobile app. I gave up on FMX and found FGX by luck. I think there will be many like me.

I think FGX is different enough from FMX that there is definitely a learning curve.

    The sample applications are excellent.

Documentation could be better and basic concepts like assets and themes could be better explained.

I think there's a bit of "The curse of knowledge" where the FGX team may not appreciate that we don't have the same understanding of the various mobile ecosystems.

Depends on what @Yaroslav Brovin and the team want to achieve in terms or marketing to other developers?

As I've said before the support is excellent. That helps a lot with the language issues. I have to use translator on forum. Which can work well.

The more questions you ask the richer the repository of knowledge for us all to share.

    Alan

    @Alan,

Thank you for your insights and I completely agree with you on the importance of having more comprehensive English documentation for FGX Native. Your personal experience in transitioning from FMX to mobile app development and discovering FGX Native is enlightening. It's clear that FGX Native has a unique position in the market, distinct enough from FMX to warrant a learning curve.

I also appreciate your point about the "curse of knowledge" and how it might affect the FGX team's perception of what users understand about mobile ecosystems. This highlights the need for more accessible and detailed guidance.

In line with this, I'd like to express my gratitude to the FGX team, particularly to @Yaroslav Brovin, for their exceptional support and dedication. Their efforts in making mobile app development more approachable are commendable.

Adding to your suggestions, I believe that developing a comprehensive development manual in PDF format would be an excellent resource. Such a manual, detailing every aspect of FGX Native in a step-by-step, easy-to-follow manner, would be invaluable. It would enable learning even away from the computer, further broadening the learning opportunities for developers globally.

Additionally, the creation of English-language video tutorials would greatly complement the written documentation, providing a well-rounded educational resource for all levels of developers.

Thank you once again for your valuable contribution to the FGX Native community. Your thoughts and experiences enrich our collective understanding and help in shaping a more informed and skilled developer community.

    Best regards,
    Aziz

  8. Moreover, it would be beneficial to have a section in the FGX Native forum for developers to not only showcase applications developed with FGX Native, but also to offer them for sale to other interested developers. This marketplace approach could stimulate innovation, provide financial incentives for quality development, and facilitate the exchange of useful and practical applications within the FGX Native community.

  9. It would also be beneficial for FGX Native developers to have the opportunity to contribute their own English tutorial videos. This not only enhances the learning resources available but also fosters a sense of community and collaboration. As a token of appreciation for their contributions, awarding badges or honors to these contributors would be a wonderful way to recognize and encourage their efforts.

  10. Dear FGX Native Team,

I am writing to express my admiration for the FGX Native tool. Your platform's commitment to simplifying mobile app development is genuinely impressive, offering a unique UI-designer, a diverse range of components, and an intuitive API.

I particularly appreciate your emphasis on thorough documentation and staying current in the ever-evolving IT landscape. Your work empowers developers of all levels to create cutting-edge mobile applications.

As English is a global language understood by many, I believe offering comprehensive English tutorials for FGX Native, from basics to advanced levels, would greatly benefit a wider audience. Such tutorials would enable more developers worldwide to harness the full potential of FGX Native, fostering a more diverse and skilled community.

Thank you for your dedication to making mobile app development accessible and advanced.

    Sincerely,

    aziz

  11. As a seasoned Delphi programmer, primarily working in the Windows environment, I was initially thrilled with the advent of the Firemonkey library. It promised the exciting possibility of developing mobile applications, which was a significant leap for me. However, my enthusiasm quickly dwindled due to the numerous issues I encountered. The library’s lack of compatibility with various Android systems was a major setback, and the frequent problems with applications built using it, such as app freezing, were disheartening.

I've often received advice that Delphi might be a poor choice for current development needs and that shifting to Flutter would be a better option. This leads me to ponder about FGX Native. I'm curious if FGX Native offers better stability compared to Firemonkey. Does it ensure compatibility with all versions of Android? And importantly, does it avoid the stability and freezing issues that have been prevalent with Firemonkey?

  12. Dear FGX Native Team,

I hope this message finds you well. Firstly, I wanted to express my genuine appreciation for the excellent components you offer. The quality and enhanced functionality they bring to our applications are truly commendable.

I have a couple of inquiries that I'm hoping you could assist with:

    1. Do your FGX Native components support Arabic text input and right-to-left alignment? If so, could you please provide an example showcasing this particular feature?

    2. Are there any open-source applications built using FGX Native components that I could modify and utilize upon purchasing the package? If yes, could you kindly share some information or documentation about these applications?

Lastly, with Christmas and the New Year just around the corner, I was curious if FGX Native might have any festive discounts or promotional offers available. Such an offer would be greatly appreciated and would certainly influence our purchasing decisions during this season.

Thank you for your time, and I eagerly await your response.
